This dive site is located in the channel between Espalamaca (Faial) and Ilhéus da Madalena (Pico) reason why it presents normally strong currents. It is a pinnacle starting at 18 m to more than 40 m deep. Big schools of mackerel atract predator such as guelly jacks, amber jacks and barracudas. The remaing fauna includes comb groupers, common groupers, rainbow wrasses, morays. Around the deepth of 30m, black coral can be observed.
