Another dive site near the ever present Monte da Guia. As the spot faces the Faial-Pico channel, current is allways present and the dive must be seen as a drift dive. The depth varies from 12m to more than 30m. Around the 20 m, the bottom presents big rocks with sand areas around where black morays can be seen. In the deepest part of the dive bait balls of mackerel and sardines are common atracting pelagics such as barracudas and bluefish.
