This dive site located at the South coast of S. Miguel Island can be done either from shore or by boat and presents lots of crevices, arches, and a cave. The cave has two entries and normally the dive starts at the one located in the West slope. In the entrance of the cave the common fauna of Azorean waters such as rainbow wrasses, ornate wrasses, damselfish, scorpion fish, breams, groupers, and parrot fish. Entering the cave the depth goes to 17m and the diver is surround by the darkness, being only visible the two entrances/exits of it. The exit facing Southeast will be at a 7m depth and the diver must be aware because if current be present one can be rapidly be pulled to surface. In this dive the main attraction are the geological formations.
