This dive site is located at the South coast of S. Miguel Island. It is an islet with a round shape and in its interior the crater has evolved to a natural pool with a channel connecting to the sea. All around the islet it is possible to dive, being the spot chosen according to the current and swell. During the dive around the islet, one can observe morays, octopus and dusky groupers, along with the common fauna of Azorean waters such as rainbow wrasses, ornate wrasses, damselfish, scorpion fish, breams, groupers, parrot fish, barred hogfish and so on. On the sand patches, wide-eyed flounders, Guinean puffer fish, mullets, and lizard fish can be seen. Looking at the intense blue that surrounds this magnificent scenery, schools of white trevallys, almaco jacks, barracudas, derbios, and blue fish, around big bait-balls of mackerel and sardines would be present.
