On the west coast of Faial, Vulcão dos Capelinhos was the last volcanic eruption of the Azores (1957/58). Dramatic seascape with boulders caves and lava arches. Fauna: breams, sting rays, morays, barracudas, guelly jacks, occasionally hammerhead sharks.
